Lavender's scientific name is Lavandula angustifolia and it comes from the botanical family Lamiaceae. Young Living Lavender essential oil comes from one of three farms, located in Utah, Idaho and France. Lavender essential oil is distilled from the flower tops of the lavender plant.
Lavender has a clean, fresh & calming floral aroma. This classic scent is perfect for so many uses! Diffusing lavender promotes calm feelings, combats occasional nervous tension & has balancing properties that calm the mind and body.
Diffuse at bedtime for a soothing and relaxing scent. Lavender is also a great oil to diffuse in the baby's nursery for a welcoming and restful environment.
Lavender essential oil can be used neat (without dilution) or diluted (with a carrier oil) to cleanse and soothe minor skin irritations. Lavender is one of my favorite oils because it is so versatile. Lavender is often referred to as the "swiss army knife of oils." Did you know that Lavender is a part of the mint family? It takes 27 square feet of Lavender plants to make one 15 ml bottle of Young Living Lavender essential oil.
My favorite essential oil to diffuse with Lavender is Lemon oil! The pairing offers a beautiful fresh, clean, but sweet scent! It offers a fresh spring scent any time of year to brighten any room! Just 2-3 drops of each in your favorite diffuser is all you need! Young Living essential oils are pure and strong and a little goes a long way!
Stress Away essential oil blend contains Lime, Copaiba, Lavender, Cedarwood and Ocotea essential oils with vanilla extract.
This blend offers a calming and relaxing aroma when diffused. Simply add 3-4 drops of Stress Away to your favorite diffuser for a sweet and warm, calming scent. You can also add a few drops to a cotton ball or a car-clip diffuser for commutes for a calming aroma on your drive home from work.
Apply a few drops to wrists and neck as a light fragrance, perfect for spring & summer. Applying to wrists during times of focus can also encourage deep thought and a clear mind free of tension and distraction.
Just remember not to apply to skin before sun exposure since citrus oils are photosensitive.
Stress Away smells a bit like key lime pie! Others describe the aromatic scent as tropical! The vanilla extract added to this blend for its sweetness will settle within the bottle so be sure to swirl the bottle before using!
My favorite oil to pair with Stress Away is Bergamot! Bergamot essential oil has a flowery citrus smell that is perfect when paired with Stress Away. The combination is a powerhouse for calming nervous tension and is used almost daily in this house!

Valor is a blend of Black Spruce, Blue Tansy, Camphor Wood, Geranium, and Frankincense essential oils.
Valor has a soft, slightly sweet/floral but woodsy aroma. This is one of my all-time favorite oils to diffuse. This blend helps me to relax before bed, by quieting my inner thoughts! Use it to greet each morning with a positive attitude or to refocus at the end of a challenging day. Valor is a great oil to diffuse or inhale during yoga and meditation.
Applying Valor topically may improve the appearance of skin. Three of the key ingredients, Blue Tansy, Frankincense and Geranium are all oils that support the healthy appearance of skin. Valor is also a wonderful oil to apply with massage oil for a soothing and rejuvenating experience to tired joints and back muscles..
I love to combine Valor essential oil blend with PanAway in a roller or with a massage oil! I roll it on or massage it into my back muscles for a soothing and cooling sensation! It is perfect for use after a long day at the office, in the car or a trip to the gym.
Peace & Calming is a gentle, sweet blend of Ylang Ylang, Orange, Tangerine, Patchouli, and Blue Tansy and is one of Young Living’s most popular essential oil blends.

Thieves essential oil blend contains Lemon, Clove, Eucalyptus Radiata, Cinnamon Bark and Rosemary essential oils.
Thieves has a rich, spicy, cinnamon aroma. We diffuse this oil daily in the cold, winter months to support a healthy immune system.
Thieves can be applied topically. Dilution is always recommended since many of the oils in this blend have a warming sensation ("hot oils"). I make a roller with Thieves and Frankincense for topical application to boost our immunity also. We apply the roller to feet and spines during the cold, winter months.

You may have heard a story about how this blend got it's name. According to historians, a band of thieves who were robbing those who had died from the plague were sought not only because of their crimes but because they remained healthy even though they touched and were so close to the dead bodies without becoming ill. The plague was highly contagious. According to legend, the thieves had soaked rags in a blend of these essential oils and placed them over their mouth and nose when approaching the dead bodies. For this reason, this blend of oils has always been prized as valuable for it's immune support and became known as the Thieves blend..

In addition, Peppermint essential oil may support a healthy respiratory system. I add this essential oil to my chest rub, alongside Raven and Lavender.
Add 2-3 drops to a vegetable capsule, add a food-grade carrier oil and take with a large glass of water 2-3 times per day to support a healthy digestive system. Peppermint Vitality can help maintain an efficient digestive tract when used regularly! In addition, consuming Peppermint Vitality may help reduce feelings of discomfort after a large, rich meal because Peppermint oil supports gastrointestinal comfort naturally! A popular use for this oil is to place a drop of Peppermint Vitality on your thumb and press your thumb to the roof of your mouth, holding it there for 3-5 seconds. This trick is used by many oil users to help relieve occasional tension and pressure!
DiGize essential oil blend contains Tarragon, Ginger, Peppermint, Juniper, Fennel, Lemongrass, Anise and Patchouli essential oils.
DiGize supports a healthy digestive system, helps cleanse the digestive system and contains antioxidant properties.
DiGize has a spicy, exotic aroma. Diffuse for a calming and grounding scent.
I make a roller that goes with us everywhere - the Tummy Tamer. This roller contains DiGize essential oil blend, Peppermint essential oil and a carrier oil. This is the perfect companion for traveling to ease occasional discomfort from eating and support a healthy digestive system.
Add 2-3 drops of DiGize Vitality to a vegetable capsule with olive oil and take 2-3 times daily to support a healthy digestive system. You can also add a drop or two to a spoon full of honey and add to hot water for a homemade tea.

Raven is a blend of Ravintsara, Peppermint, Eucalyptus Radiata, Lemon and Wintergreen
Raven has a cool, refreshing, minty aroma with sweet undertones. Diffuse this oil for a crisp, refreshing environment during winter months. Add a few drops to a hot shower for an invigorating and refreshing aroma.
Apply this blend diluted to your chest and neck during winter months or before/after exercise for a comforting aroma and the sensation of deeper breathing. Raven has a cooling sensation when applied topically to muscles after exercise. This oil is a great complimentary product for use with exercise.

Tea Tree essential oil, also known as Melaleuca or Melaleuca Alternifolia oil. Tea Tree essential oil is steam distilled from the leaves of the Melaleuca alternifoliatree, native to Australia.
Tea Tree has a fresh, clean scent great for removing unpleasant or musky odors. Therefore, Tea Tree essential oil is great for making homemade household cleaners, air fresheners, and linen spritzers because of its cleansing properties.
